What is chiropractic?
Your body has an amazing ability to self-heal.
Chiropractic is based on a biological premise that the body has an amazing ability to self-heal. This is possible through proper communication between the brain and the body. A healthy nervous system is vital to ensure this proper communication. Just like how we would keep things that are important to us in a safe place, our spine is designed to protect our nervous system.
Our spine is constantly exposed to different kinds of stresses (physical, chemical and emotional) which may lead to misalignment in our spine. This is what chiropractors call spinal subluxation. A spinal subluxation is a misalignment of our spine which may interfere with the normal function of our nervous system.
Chiropractors are highly trained to locate and, with the appropriate technique, gently correct these misalignments to restore proper function to your spine and your nervous system. With proper communication between the brain and the body, this enables our body self-heal, allowing us to live our life to the fullest.

B. Chiropractic, Cert. AK
Hello and welcome to Attune Chiropractic.
My name is Dr Albert Wong. Originally from Malaysia, I have had the privilege of calling New Zealand home since 2002.
My passion is to share with you the health that chiropractic care brings. I believe that health goes far beyond the absence of aches, pains and symptoms and is a balanced combination of physical, chemical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me chasing my daughter around, trying out different cuisines or having a few hits at the badminton hall.
I look forward to working with you and your family to help you reach your health goals and allow you to live life to its fullest.
Meet the team
My name is Cayla and I’m the Practice Coordinator at Attune Chiropractic. I have a varied professional background and have found a passion for health care. I enjoy getting to know our clients and sharing their successes when they are excited about the holistic results that they are receiving.
I have a healthy work-life balance and love spending time exploring the outdoors in Wellington with my husband and daughter. In the evenings, I train for competition boxing. The mental and physical challenge of this affirms my need for the superior functioning of the body through chiropractic care.
I look forward to sharing your health care journey with you.
My name is Katelyn and I am one of the Chiropractic Assistants at Attune Chiropractic.
My passion in the health and fitness industry was sparked due to my long career as an Artistic Roller Skater. After competing for 13 years and representing New Zealand at two world championships, I am now a coach of 16 pupils and also run a ‘learn to skate’ class.
In all my roles I get to help people achieve their goals which I find so rewarding and motivating.
My interests include getting a big sweat on at the gym, finding time to relax by having a massage or getting my nails done, and cooking new recipes. I love watching Sarah’s Day on YouTube, following Simone Anderson on Instagram, and watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix.
I look forward to seeing you in our practice!
My name is Zastra and I am one of the Chiropractic Assistants at Attune Chiropractic.
I am in my last semester of University, finishing off a double major in Psychology and Criminology. During my studies about the body and its functions through psychology, I began to be interested in the need to have a deeper holistic view of the body.
Outside the practice, you’ll find me exploring the broader regions of Wellington with friends and finding the perfect spot for a picnic.
I’m excited to continue working with alongside you in your well-being and health journey.
